| How long does each Elevate Series last? |
| A: Each peak of Elevate contains a years worth of curriculum; seven series per peak, eight weeks per series. |
| What exactly does the teacher do if the majority of the work is done via DVD? |
| A: The teacher carries most of the work, not the DVD. The filmed Bible Story, skits, songs, and review games help the teacher teach the lesson, like a modern-day flannel graph. The teacher introduces the lesson, the central theme (what we call the “Main Point,”), the Bible Story, the Bible Verse, and leads the children in singing the songs. Depending on your class structure, the teacher may also lead a small group in an application activity. The teacher doesn’t serve the DVD, the DVD serves the teacher. |
| What type of materials will we have to supply for each of the lessons? |
| A: Elevate provides all the print material, from the lesson pages to the environmental pieces for your room in electronic form. You just print what you need. All animations and video are included as well. As for added supplies, we try to keep our supply lists centered around what you may already have and what you can get easily and affordably at your local discount store. |
| What is the minimum amount of people needed for each class? |
| A: The minimum number of teachers you will need for a group of 20-25 kids is two or three. You will need two in order to split your kids into manageable small groups. At Fellowship Church, we prefer a ratio of ten children for every one teacher. |
| Is Elevate geared towards the kids being in worship altogether for the entire time, should the seating be set up more like a kid geared sanctuary? |
| A: This depends on you. The design of Elevate works in a classroom of five kids, one teacher, a TV and a DVD player. It is also works in a worship auditorium with 500 kids in a large group setting that will then split into small groups for applications. There are several possibilities in-between. Elevate is very flexible. |
| Does the Elevate Curriculum provide lessons for the different holidays like Easter and Christmas? |
| A: We are considering the possibility of making a Christmas/Easter series, but have no definite plans at this time. |
| I can't seem to find a file that I need. Who do I contact to get it? |
| A: Please contact Creative Pastors (info@creativepastors.com) and they will provide the files you need. |
| What version of the Bible is the Elevate curriculum based on? |
| A: Elevate uses the New Living Translation (NLT) 2004 Bible. |
| Do the lessons have to go in the order presented on the map; i.e. On The Trail before Heroes, etc? |
| A: There is no intentional order with the series so you can start with any one you wish. The only consideration you might want to make is with “Treasure Quest” and “Journey Below The Earth” as the latter is a sequel to the former. In “Treasure Quest,” the title character Kit Windswept hears the Gospel and chooses to follow Jesus. In “Journey Below The Earth,” Kit teaches someone else about the foundations of our faith. |
| What age group is the Elevate curriculum designed for? |
| A: Elevate is a curriculum designed to be used for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. |
